New tissue scaffold regrows cartilage and bone

Prof. Lorna Gibson and colleagues have developed a new tissue scaffold that can stimulate bone and cartilage growth when transplanted into the knees and other joints. The technology, licensed to a British company, has the potential to return mobility to those suffering from arthritis or sports injuries.
